In addition to the wireless sensors which have recently been developed speciﬁcally for intralogistics, it is also possible to integrate traditional electromagnetic wireless switches (position switches, foot switches, pull wire switches…), wireless sensors (e.g. magnetic sensors) and wireless controls in the wireless network. sWave.NET® uses an exceptionally stable, yet energy-saving wireless protocol and runs on the universally available SRD MHz waveband.
Access points are installed across the transmission area and communicate with the wireless switches. Each access point can receive signals – depending on the capacity utilisation – from approx. 100+ wireless switches. Dynamic self-organisation in exchange for low conﬁguration effort, low maintenance and high durability further contributes to the successful implementation of sWave.NET® -based sensor network solutions.
The sWave-NET® Sensor Bridge is a central communication interface connecting higher services and applications with the wireless infrastructure below. Thanks to its universal connectivity, the Sensor Bridge can be integrated in any production environment. A large number of communication protocols to ERP and warehouse management systems already exist. Our system is compatible with e.g.: REST (XML / json), http(s) Notiﬁcations and MODBUS TCP/IP.
The sWave.NET® network can be conﬁgured for the requirements in question very easily, via a web server. The user interface, with its practice-oriented, pre-installed settings, enables plant manufacturers, maintenance planners and IT administrators to conﬁgure the sWave.NET® wireless system without any prior special knowledge. Flexible interfaces enable adaptation to diverse applications, such as E-Kanban, Andon systems and automated guided vehicles (AGV).
